We have an in depth discussion prior to your treatment, so I gain full understanding of your circumstances and reasons for wanting to stop. This provides me with the information so that I can tailor your session to your individual needs. You will find the whole experience uplifting and relaxing.

In 1992 New Scientist magazine decided to investigate the claims of hypnosis and conducted a large scale study, comparing all the well known stop smoking methods. It was officially confirmed that hypnotherapy was the most effective treatment by far to help people stop smoking.
I was a 20 a day smoker myself so I know how it difficult it is to take those initial steps. I can assure you that I will provide support throughout making it easier for you to stop smoking and to remain a non smoker. After your session I will provide you with a CD for you to use yourself at home. This is an important part of your treatment and is included in your session fee.
How will it help with weight loss?
Hypnosis can help you to lose weight naturally and easily. It is probably the healthiest way to lose weight if incorporated properly into a healthy lifestyle plan. It is certainly one of the most natural ways to lose weight and it works on two levels.
Firstly, hypnosis helps you to let go of all your bad habits and false beliefs that have prevented you losing weight in the past. For instance, eating too quickly and eating too much are bad habits whilst eating to feel happy is based on false belief. Secondly and far more importantly, hypnosis helps you move forward by developing new habits and new beliefs.
Weight loss should be natural and part of a well defined plan of who you are and who you want to be. Hypnotherapy can help with weight loss and weight management in so many ways. A fear is an unpleasant reaction we feel when confronted with real danger. It is an essential ‘fight or flight’ instinct, which makes us prepare to run away, or stick around to fight it out.

A phobia is defined as an irrational, intense fear of an object or situation that poses little or no actual danger. At first glance a phobia may seem similar to a normal fear but it’s the degree to which a person is affected that determines whether that fear has become a phobia. There is usually a strong avoidance behaviour connected to a phobia, which will run alongside intense feelings of anxiety, loss of control and panic.
Many phobias are based in real-life events that may or may not be consciously remembered. A phobia of dogs, for example may stem from being attacked as a small child. A social phobia may develop from teenage awkwardness or childhood bullying.

How will it help me with public speaking?
Hypnotherapy really helps you to overcome your anxiety of public speaking by building your confidence so that you remain calm and relaxed in situations which normally cause you stress. The fear of public speaking is irrational but is all too real to those who suffer from it. Hypnotherapy teaches you how to recognise your body’s unique reaction to stress and anxiety and how to develop new healthy and positive ways of thinking and feeling.
Deep relaxation techniques used in hypnosis will help you to focus inwards and start to build your feeling of confidence, calm and self-belief. With your feelings of confidence and control restored, public speaking can be approached with a new level of calmness and assurance.
I use visualisation techniques using the power of your imagination to rehearse or practice a speech or presentation in your mind. By doing this you will have already experienced the feeling of delivering a great performance and your mind has been pre-programmed for success. This technique is practised by many professional athletes. They visualise passing the winning line many times so that when they run their race they are simply carrying out what they are expecting to happen.
The cost of a hypnotherapy session is £45.00 and lasts approximately one hour and includes a personalised CD of the session.
A session to help you quit smoking is longer and lasts approximately two hours and cost’s £90.00. This also includes a personalised CD of your hypnotherapy session. I would however recommend an additional one hour session which would take the price to £135.00
As a separate service I also provide bespoke pre-recorded CDs after telephone consultation. These are posted to you and cost just £20.00.
